The shortcuts for deleting, cutting, and pasting are:

CTRL + SHIFT + X = Delete text frame or table frame containing text
DELETE = Delete one character to the right
CTRL + DELETE = Delete next word
CTRL + BACKSPACE = Delete previous word
CTRL + C OR CTRL + INSERT = Copy
CTRL + V OR SHIFT INSERT = Paste
CTRL + SHIFT + C = Copy formatting
CTRL + SHIFT + V = Paste formatting
